🚨 Digital IDs: Modern Convenience or a Step Too Far? The UK government recently announced plans to introduce digital IDs - a move that’s been proposed many times over the past 20 years but never implemented due to concerns over privacy, inclusion, and cost. This time, the aim is to make it easier to access public services, prove identity, and reduce fraud. Digital IDs would be stored securely on users’ devices and could become mandatory for employment, though physical alternatives are promised.
