✨ AET Expands Green Fleet: Orders Two LNG Dual-Fuel Suezmax Tankers from Samsung Heavy Industries! ⚓ We're excited to share, that AET, a global leader in crude and product tankers, has taken a major step in its energy transition journey by signing shipbuilding contracts with Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) for two LNG dual-fuel Suezmax tankers. This strategic investment expands AET’s dual-fuel fleet across all major tanker segments – Aframax, Shuttle Tanker, Suezmax, and VLCC – reinforcing its commitment to cleaner shipping and global net-zero goals. 💡 Why This Matters With maritime emissions under increasing scrutiny, AET’s new dual-fuel Suezmaxes demonstrate how advanced technology and LNG adoption can significantly reduce greenhouse gases while maintaining operational excellence. The move supports clients’ decarbonisation ambitions and strengthens AET’s position as a global leader in low-carbon maritime solutions. 🚢 Key Highlights 🔹 Newbuilds equipped with Everllence 6G70ME-C10.5-GI main engine for fuel efficiency and reduced methane slip. 🔹 Smart Ship Systems (SVESSEL) enable real-time monitoring, optimisation, and enhanced safety. 🔹 Hydrodynamic design with SAVER Stator-D, SARB Rudder Bulb, and SAVER-Fins to cut fuel consumption. 🔹 Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) systems and hybrid vertical bow improve propulsion efficiency. 🔹 LNG dual-fuel capability reduces GHG emissions by 14–23% versus conventional fuels and lowers PM, SOₓ, and NOₓ. 🔹 Future-ready for Bio-LNG and e-LNG, enabling scalable decarbonisation with existing bunkering infrastructure. 🔹 Expands AET’s dual-fuel fleet to 18 vessels, including 15 LNG and three ammonia dual-fuel ships. 🔹 Supports AET’s target of a 40% reduction in GHG intensity by 2030 and aligns with MISC Berhad’s 2050 net-zero commitment. 🌱 Driving Sustainable Shipping Forward AET continues to lead the maritime sector in low-carbon energy solutions, combining advanced vessel design, operational expertise, and strategic fleet expansion. By integrating LNG and alternative fuels, the company delivers more energy with less emissions, reinforcing its global presence across major shipping regions. 👇 Learn more about how AET is pioneering decarbonisation in tanker operations and building a cleaner future for maritime logistics. #Singapore #Malaysia #AET #SamsungHeavyIndustries #MISC_Group #LNG #DualFuel #Suezmax #Shipping #Decarbonisation #Maritime #UK #LNG_Shipping #Europe #China #SouthKorea #Japan #Rotterdam #USA #SustainableShipping #EnergyTransition #MaritimeInnovation #NetZero #CleanEnergy #VLSFO #MarineFuel #FleetExpansion #ShippingESG #Dubai #GreenShipping #MaritimeLogistics #LowCarbonFuels #GlobalShipping #EnergyLeadership #BunkerMarket #Tankers #ChemicalTankers #VLCCs https://lnkd.in/dFMKFV_K

GTT CEO: 2025 LNG FIDs point to ~150 new LNG carrier newbuilds 2025 set an all-time record: 84 mta of LNG projects reached FID. GTT - Technology for a Sustainable World chief executive Philippe Berterottière said this underpinned demand for “close to around 150” LNG carriers, with his educated estimate landing on 151 ships. He broke it down: about 67 mta from the US Gulf to world markets with a shipping intensity of ~2.0–2.3 ships per mta, and ~17 mta from elsewhere (e.g., Mozambique) at ~0.9–1 ship per mta. Vessels tied to 2025-sanctioned projects would be for 2029–2031 delivery. He added GTT had 58 orders for LNGC-related products in the first three quarters of 2025 (versus 66 in all of 2024) and expected “a very significant number” still to come this year. On the IMO Net-Zero Framework delay, he said it would not change the trend: “shipping is switching to LNG,” and there remains a need to replace older ships “which are generating twice CO₂” of modern vessels. #LNGShipping2025 #LNG #Shipping #GTT #Shipbuilding #USLNG #FIDs

MOL Expands Its LNG Dual Fuel Fleet with New 210,000 DWT Bulker “Ruri Earth” Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL) has officially taken delivery of its newest LNG dual fuel bulk carrier, the Ruri Earth a 210,000 DWT vessel designed to meet the latest IMO environmental standards. This milestone highlights MOL’s ongoing transition toward cleaner fuels, with plans to operate over 90 LNG and methanol fueled ships by 2030. The Ruri Earth is expected to significantly cut greenhouse gas emissions compared to conventional vessels reinforcing LNG’s growing role in the decarbonization of global shipping. For energy brokers, shipowners, and investors, this signals a clear direction: the LNG fueled fleet era is gaining momentum across maritime logistics and trade routes. #LNG #Shipping #DualFuel #Sustainability #Maritime #Decarbonization #MOL #EnergyTransition #CleanFuel #GlobalTrade #LNGNews

Evergreen Bets Big on LNG: $2.8B Order Could Shift the Course for Green Shipping Evergreen’s recent $2.8 billion order for 14 LNG dual-fuel container ships isn’t just a fleet expansion it’s a signal that the shipping industry is doubling down on low-carbon propulsion models. The ships, set to be built by GSI (China) and SHI (South Korea), are expected to deliver between 2028 and 2030. What makes this move especially strategic: • Evergreen is combining scale (14,000 TEU) with cleaner fuel tech bridging volume and sustainability • The timing aligns with tightening IMO emissions rules and rising demand for cleaner logistics • Competitors will soon face pressure to match both capacity and carbon ambition 👉 What I’m watching: • How many more orders follow this trend • Whether operating costs for LNG dual-fuel will justify investment • How this reshapes shipbuilding partnerships in China, Korea, and globally What’s your take will dual-fuel LNG carriers become the new norm for global shipping lines? #Evergreen #LNG #DualFuel #Shipping #GreenShipping #Decarbonization #MaritimeTech #FleetExpansion #EnergyTransition #Emissions
