Mandarin Oriental, Jeddah, which is expected to open in 2030, will bring a new level of luxury hospitality to Saudi Arabia, further strengthening the Group’s presence in the region and complementing the brand’s award-winning offerings in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Doha, Muscat and Riyadh. Ideally located in an exclusive marina site in the heart of Jeddah Central, the property will comprise 140 elegantly appointed guestrooms and suites and 115 spacious apartments designed to accommodate long-stay guests. In addition, there will be 187 branded residences, offering two to four-bedroom privately owned homes with exclusive access to private amenities. Designed as a low-density, low-rise development commanding panoramic views of the Red Sea, Mandarin Oriental, Jeddah is set to become an urban sanctuary where elevated living, cultural interaction and wellbeing meet. Exciting to see Mandarin Oriental take such a thoughtful, low-density approach in Jeddah. True luxury in the region is shifting toward space, serenity, and cultural depth — not scale for its own sake. And projects like this show how hospitality can evolve without losing its soul. It’s the same philosophy I try to follow with Normandy Box: elevate the experience by honouring place, not overwhelming it. Curious to see how this development shapes the Red Sea narrative in the next decade.
