Europe’s solar ambitions can only be achieved with a skilled workforce prepared to meet evolving industry needs. To support this objective, the European Solar Academy, initiated by our partners at InnoEnergy Skills Institute, has established its Advisory Council, bringing together experts from industry, policy, education and research to shape a coordinated skills and training strategy for the solar sector. The Council, under the guidance of the European Commission, brings together such organisations as InnoEnergy, SolarPower Europe, European Solar Manufacturing Council (ESMC) and EUREC - The Association of European Renewable Energy Research Centres and works to: • Identify current and emerging skills needs across the solar value chain • Support the alignment of training and certification with real-world requirements • Promote high-quality, flexible vocational education and training pathways • Strengthen cooperation between industry, training providers and policymakers • Contribute to the long-term development of a skilled and mobile workforce in Europe This work will contribute directly to closing skills gaps, supporting workforce transition and ensuring that Europe’s renewable energy sector remains competitive and future-ready, and is represented by Daniela Santopolo, Oana Penu, Walburga Hemetsberger, Javier Sanz Rodriguez, Oier Bolibar, Johan Lindahl, Nathalie Richet and Jacqui Wigg Learn more about the Advisory Council and its members: https://lnkd.in/e88knhya
