I'm working with a candidate that missed his job interview! This candidate has been out of work for a bit and is actively looking for a new role. He took the time to prepare for the interview, BUT his phone was set up to screen calls from numbers that were not in his Contacts list. The call went to voicemail. By the time the candidate was alerted to the voicemail, it was too late. Bad first impression. Make no mistake, the pendulum has swung and companies are back in the driver's seat. They certainly feel there are plenty of options for each job posting to have to chase candidates.
