Great to see my face on the ERC20 Token Standard page on the Ethereum website, but I actually just added a link to the dedicated ERC1363 page I wrote. ERC1363 is now a well-established standard for all cases where an action is required following a token transfer (crowdsales, subscriptions, staking, voting, etc.). The EIP is in its final state, included in the OpenZeppelin libraries (also available via Wizard), included in Token Generator, and installable via npm or Foundry in custom contracts.
