Scaling AI means rethinking the backbone of infrastructure, from power and networking to data center capacity. Lambda’s AI factories are engineered for speed, density, and cooling to maximize intelligence per watt. Join Rebecca Naughton at IgniteGTM alongside industry leaders to discuss what’s powering the next wave of AI infrastructure. Learn more → https://lnkd.in/dfNJtQmk

People are desperate to see an AI bubble, so they make comparisons to the “dark fibre” infrastructure build-out of the early Internet (late 1990s–early 2000s) — when loads of fibre were laid that went unused. This is wholly flawed, because unlike fibre, there are no “dark” GPUs. In fact, GPUs are being worked so hard, they’re literally melting. The lion’s share of spend on an AI data centre (which requires engineering that almost defies physics!) is on GPUs — tens of billions of dollars at each site. As Chase Lochmiller of Crusoe correctly points out, everyone is compute-constrained. It’s why hyperscaler CapEx on infrastructure will rise to around $500 billion next year, up from about $400 billion. They want more compute to build ‘Intelligence’ so it can become an industrial-scale utility. Instead of looking for the AI bubble, look at the next big constraint….starting with energy.
"Every single customer we talk to is compute-constrained right now." Our CEO and co-founder, Chase Lochmiller, joined Carl Quintanilla on 'Squawk on the Street' this morning to discuss Crusoe's Series E $1.375 billion round.
