𝗧𝗵𝗲 “𝗼𝗻𝗲-𝗽𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘂𝗺𝗲” 𝗿𝘂𝗹𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗰𝗶𝗿𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱. That rule was made for entry-level candidates — not executives with 20+ years of experience. If you’ve led teams, driven revenue, or managed large-scale initiatives, you’ve earned the space to tell that story. A well-structured two-page resume isn’t “too long.” It’s strategic real estate — used to show depth, leadership, and measurable impact. Ladders actually inspired me to rethink this old-school rule. What really matters isn’t page count — it’s 𝙝𝙤𝙬 𝙚𝙛𝙛𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙡𝙮 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙫𝙖𝙡𝙪𝙚. So if your experience truly spans decades, don’t shrink it. Own it.
