In the last 10 years, I have onboarded into 5+ 𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐬 each time in a new environment, under new leadership, and sometimes even in a completely new company or function. Success in a new role isn't about proving how much you know; it's about 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐟𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧. No matter how well-seasoned you are, starting anew is intimidating. You walk in with excitement… and a quiet fear: 👉 Will I be able to deliver fast enough? 👉 Will I fit into this culture? 👉 Is it possible to rebuild credibility from zero again? It was during one of my most challenging transitions, from 𝐑&𝐃 𝐭𝐨 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐲, that I found the resource that completely changed my approach to new beginnings and provided me clarity and confidence in onboarding: 📘 “𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘍𝘪𝘳𝘴𝘵 90 𝘋𝘢𝘺𝘴” by Michael Watkins. That became my secret playbook for every transition since. ✨ Key lessons that 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐞𝐝 𝐦𝐲 𝐣𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲: → 𝐏𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦: Learn before you lead. Observation reveals insights that action alone can't. → 𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐲 𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐬: Build credibility through small, visible victories. → 𝐃𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐬𝐮𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐬: Align the expectations with your manager; clarity prevents confusion. → 𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐧𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐟𝐚𝐬𝐭: Relationships accelerate your ramp-up and unlock opportunities. Every new role tested me differently, but with this mindset, I learned to turn uncertainty into opportunity. Here's what I tell every client and colleague today.. The first 90 days aren't about proving yourself; they're about positioning yourself to thrive. Step in with curiosity, lead with clarity, and make your first 90 days your strongest foundation yet. 🗣𝘐𝘧 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘨𝘰 𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘬 𝘵𝘰 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘧𝘪𝘳𝘴𝘵 90 𝘥𝘢𝘺𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘤𝘶𝘳𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘫𝘰𝘣, 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘸𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘥𝘰 𝘥𝘪𝘧𝘧𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘭𝘺? ✨ 𝐒𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐝 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠? ♻️ 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐨𝐫 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐭. #CareerGrowth #Leadership #TheFirst90Days #MindsetMatters #CareerTransitions #SparkCareers _________ Hi, I’m Tamanna a former food scientist turned business strategist and career coach. 💼 “Why You’re Invisible at Work (Even if You’re Brilliant)” 💥Being good at your job doesn’t get you promoted. Being seen does. You can be the smartest person in the room — but if no one knows what you’ve done, you might as well be in another building. Let’s break it down 👇 Visibility ≠ bragging. It’s storytelling. Strategic, intentional, authentic storytelling. Here’s how the promoted ones play it: They share wins publicly (not humbly brag — confidently share). They document impact, not hours. They make sure decision-makers see receipts, not assumptions. 📢 You don’t get paid for effort. You get promoted for perception of impact. Be your own hype person. Because silence doesn’t build careers — it buries them. 👇 What’s one “invisible win” you’re finally ready to talk about? #CareerGrowth #PersonalBrand #Leadership #Communication #Visibility #FutureLeaders

When you’ve been laid off, it’s tempting to lead with your résumé. But... think about it... résumés tell what you’ve done not who you are becoming. Your professional story is what makes people remember you. It’s how you turn decades of experience into a focused, forward-facing narrative. Here’s the shift I teach in Step 3 of my “From Here to There” programme: Stop listing roles. Start connecting dots. Instead of: “I managed a $50K budget and led a 20-person team.” Try: “I led high-performing teams that thrived through change, now I help organizations navigate transformation with confidence.” That’s the difference between a summary and a story. And when you craft your story well, opportunities start to find you. Tomorrow, I’ll share a short video walking you through exactly how to do that. Clearly, confidently, and in a way that feels authentic to who you are. #CareerCoaching #CareerTransition #ExecutivePresence #LeadershipDevelopment #PersonalBranding
