Nashville's Room in the Inn (RITI) previously struggled with the logistical nightmare of using disparate software packages, spreadsheets, and emails to manage thousands of volunteers and homeless participants across 13 shelters. Despite Ignition not being a traditional choice for non-industrial software, integrator Vertech leveraged its expertise and the platform's strong community to create the solution. More than 150 volunteers worldwide contributed to the project, which was offered to RITI for free! The resulting Homeless Management Information System, deployed in October 2022, is now used daily by over 40 RITI staff to manage operations, provide services, and generate key performance indicators (KPIs) for continuous improvement. This successful initiative to help the homeless community ultimately inspired Inductive Automation's official Community Impact Program.
