It's always rewarding to see how the right hire can completely change the way a business operates. We recently partnered with a renewable energy developer that had been relying on external consultants to manage grid connections. As their portfolio grew, they realised it was time to bring that expertise in-house. This way, they could cut costs and build long-term capability, strengthening their technical foundation. Together, we helped them appoint an experienced Head of Grid, followed soon after by a strong second-in-command to support delivery. The results have been brilliant to watch! With their new internal grid team in place, they’ve reduced reliance on consultants, improved knowledge retention, and streamlined processes, all while creating a more efficient, confident development function. It’s a great example of how thoughtful hiring is about building resilience, expertise, and value that lasts. #ClientStories #RenewableEnergy #TeamBuilding #Sustainability #Leadership

Energy projects are stalling not because of technology but because of people. The global energy sector is entering a transition era in which skills define progress more than resources. Some trends shaping the landscape: • Demand for hybrid profiles combining engineering with digital skills. • Global talent pools are becoming critical for project continuity. • Rise in flexible contracts and project-based staffing. • Higher competition for leadership roles in renewables. • Talent mobility is now as important as capital investment. Clean energy projects are booming, but the talent pipeline is shrinking — partner with Sperton before your competitors take the lead. #globaltalent #energymarket #staffingsolutions #renewableenergy #futureofwork
