Psychological safety means your team feels comfortable speaking up, asking questions, owning mistakes, and sharing ideas without fear of judgment. You can feel it when people talk openly, ask for help, or admit when something’s wrong. And you notice when it’s missing when things get quiet, tense, or disconnected. It’s one of the strongest predictors of team health, and it directly impacts care. In our latest blog, we explore how to build this kind of environment in a clinic, what signs to watch for, and how small changes (including the right tools) can make space for trust to grow. 👉 Read it here: https://lnkd.in/eV5EXtPD

As clinicians, we often emphasize the importance of emotional regulation for our clients. Yet, it’s equally as important that we also find that within ourselves. Things like burnout, compassion fatigue, and secondary trauma can quietly hinder our capacity to stay present and empathetic in the therapeutic space. Prioritizing reflective practice, supervision, and mindful self-awareness isn’t something we should look at as a luxury, rather, a clinical responsibility. The more we are aware of our own internal world, the more effectively we can hold space for others to explore theirs. Let’s continue normalizing conversations about therapist wellness, not as an afterthought, but something we should deem a cornerstone of ethical and sustainable care❤️. #TherapistWellness #MentalHealthProfessionals #ClinicalPractice #BurnoutPrevention #SelfCareForClinicians #NYWellness

This presentation challenges the notion that vicarious trauma indicates professional weakness, reframing it as an expected outcome of empathetic healthcare practice, and moves beyond the simplistic self-care advice that is so often offered as a solution. Participants will learn to recognise early indicators of vicarious trauma, understand its impact on both personal and professional functioning, and develop practical, research-supported strategies for building sustainable resilience. Through combining theoretical understanding with practical application, this training provides healthcare professionals with the tools needed to maintain effectiveness while protecting their own psychological wellbeing. https://ow.ly/mvFt50WyonA
