Subscribers are worth 2.5-3.5x more LTV that One-Time Customers. This is a cross-industry ration that applies to food&bev, beauty&health, home goods etc. Why? Its simple buyer psychology. When someone consciously chooses to Subscribe - they enter a "honeymoon" where they stop looking for alternatives (for at least 2-3 orders). Robbie Kellman Baxter calls this "the forever transaction". This "forever" lasts as long as the customer feels the same degree of trust towards the brand as when the initially subscribed. For most brands this only lasts for 2-3 orders. However, SOME brands are actually able to GROW the degree of trust with each subscription order. This is THE BIGGEST challenge for DTC subscription brands in 2026^ and its my personal mission to be a lot more hands on with brands who want to make the transition from "subscription first" to "subscriber first" models. 👋 Follow if this is up your alley

"Focus, flexibility, a real message, a real core ability to deliver on a brand promise—all those things are more important than they were before." — Ethan Chernofsky, CMO, Placer.ai 🚨 NEW WEBINAR ALERT! 🚨 Yesterday, Anne and Chris went live with Ethan Chernofsky as he delivered his way-too-early 2025 retail review on LinkedIn, and the location analytics appear to be screaming one truth: consumers want more than convenience. They want GREAT! Consumers are visiting MORE stores per category, traveling FARTHER, and spending LESS time in each location. They're hunting for retailers with a clear reason for being. What's winning? ✅ Focus over expansion (Sprouts Farmers Market knows exactly who they are) ✅ Innovation that drives $$$ per visit, not speed (retail media, H-E-B's barbecue concept, store-fulfilled e-commerce) ✅ Value and luxury execution (the middle is struggling, but is it an execution problem or a death sentence?) ✅ Suburban urbanization (premium concepts moving to strip centers) ✅ Nostalgic brand comebacks (Bed Bath & Beyond, Barnes & Noble, Inc., Claire's, but how much does brand equity still matter?) Ethan's Bottom Line: Stop trying to be everything. Get really good at your thing. Maximize every visit. Execute flawlessly. The retailers winning in 2026 won't be the most convenient. They'll be the most CLEAR. Are you chasing convenience or building greatness?
