My biggest piece of advice for someone new to the CFO role is, is a couple of things. First, you have to understand your organization and being a CISO, you're you're hired there because you know cybersecurity, right? That's you're there because you're a subject matter expertise. Understanding cyber security in the context of what your organization does and how to make sure that you're managing risk for that organization in a meaningful way is, is really important. So spend time learning the business go. In whatever, you know, if you're at an airline like me, I spend time in the contact center on in the airports, right, not just sitting in headquarters kind of assuming how things work, but really get out into the operations and understanding, you know, understanding how the airline runs makes me a better leader. So I think it's really understanding your business. And then secondly is developing relationships. Your your ability to get things done as a SISO relies. 80% on other people to do the right thing, right? We, we have tools to detect and block and you know all that respond. But really when it comes to risk management, you know you're accountable for that, but it's everybody's responsibility to really activate that. So build those relationships with your peers so they realize that you understand, you know, you're creating that shared vision need and outcome and you're alone. You know you're aligned with them to help them deliver what they need and they'll help you deliver what you need. As well too.
