We were incredibly proud at Flavorite to see ourselves and our Maddie’s Month campaign featured on Sunrise (Seven Network) on Wednesday, a moment that allowed us to share our story with millions of Australians all the way from our Warragul site.
Having Michael Nichol (CEO), Chris Millis (COO) and Thomas Millis (Marketing & Communications Manager) speak on the origins of Maddie’s Month and its growth over the past decade was a milestone in itself. What began as a small idea in partnership with Maddie Riewoldt's Vision and Coles Group 10 years ago has become one of our most meaningful initiatives.
As we edge closer to achieving our $1 million fundraising milestone, we’re reminded of our founders, Mark Millis and Warren Nichol. We know they would be incredibly proud of how far this campaign has come, and of the impact it continues to make for families affected by Bone Marrow Failure Syndromes.
A heartfelt thank you to Sunrise for shining a national spotlight on this cause, and to everyone who has supported Maddie’s Month along the way. This recognition is more than a media moment, it’s a reflection of what’s possible when an industry stands behind something that truly matters. 💜

Suhu naik. Come on thats. Well, every year in Australia, up to 160 people are diagnosed with bone marrow failure syndrome. And for those who received this shocking news, only 50% will survive it. Yeah, currently the only cure is a risky bone marrow transplant, which is why funding is critical to help save more lives. And that's where we can all make a difference simply by adding some flavour it to our diet. For more than three decades, family run fruit and vegetable business Flavour It has been providing fresh, high quality produce to coals we can get for over 30 years in the resupplying amazing fresh products to our customers. Based in the Victorian town of Warrigal, they can grow all year round thanks to advanced glass house technology. We were one of the first companies to grow vegetables in Glass House in Australia and I would say that we're the best at it, Flame RIP began. Back in 1993, when the Millis and nickel families set out to grow the most flavoursome, freshest, highest quality tomatoes all year round, my dad was one of the founders. He wanted to put the taste back into tomatoes, so he got out of the wholesale market, started farming. But instead of enjoying the fruits of his labor, founder Mark Millis found himself battling A malignant form of blood cancer. He reached out to the family of Maddie Riewoldt, who tragically died from bone marrow failure in 2015 at the age of just 26. He wanted to give back and wanted to find a way of doing that. And there was this this great partnership between what could Flavour Right do to partner with coals and our fresh produce. And support Mattie what's vision at the same time. And and that's where Maddie Month was born. And together they created Maddio's Month favorite sporting Maddie Riots vision by donating $0.15 from every especially Mark pack of mini tomatoes, vine ripe and cherry tomatoes and mini Captain sold at Coles through the entire month of November. Every pack donates $0.15. And this year they're on track to reach a historic achievement for us. It's very exciting to be looking at raising a total of $1 million to give that into research. Patient care is just absolutely huge, and when you get to meet patients on the ground and hear their stories and you know that we're gonna make a difference in their lives. Very exciting. And if you're stuck for ideas on what to make, here's some suggestions. I think pastors think salads. Anytime you need tomato, these should be in your recipes. They're great to cook all the time, but especially this month for supporting such a great cause. Good stuff. What a great initiative. Well done.
