Property management is like a team sport because there's no I in team and you can't do it alone because everyone has the same end goal and we all just need to come together to accomplish it. Business is is so collaborative, whether it's collaborating with your other team members, your residents, our vendor partners. I think of it more of a relay sport. You're starting it off with your maintenance teams are doing your turns, then they toss the baton over to your leasing agents. Your leasing agents are then taking on making sure they're getting people in the units. Toss it over to the property managers or assistant managers to collect all the rents, make sure everything's running smoothly, and just continue the relay over and over and over again. Every day the best groups work together. When you all spread it out and you do your part and it all comes together or you need help and you can depend on one another, then those are the best teams that succeed and those are the best properties that do well. You depend on one another.
