It was great to visit the offices of the Secure Community Network (SCN) in Chicago this week and witness firsthand their vital work protecting Jewish communities across North America. SCN serves as the official safety and security organization of the Jewish community in the United States and Canada, working closely with Jewish federations, schools, synagogues, and community centers to prevent and respond to threats. Their team combines expertise in law enforcement, intelligence, and community engagement to provide training, crisis management, and real-time coordination with federal, state, and local authorities. Now, more than ever, as antisemitism and hate continue to rise, SCN’s mission is essential. Ensuring that every Jewish institution is a place of safety, resilience, and pride is a cause that unites us all. I’m deeply grateful to the SCN leadership and staff for their unwavering commitment to safeguarding our communities and strengthening the bonds that keep us secure and united.
