We are proud to announce the Australian production launch of the BluSDR-6; a combat-proven drone radio developed by DTC: A Codan company and now recognised as Ukraine’s preferred drone communications solution. Unveiled at MiLCIS in Canberra, the event was attended by Ambassador of Ukraine to Australia Vasyl Myroshnychenko, alongside defence industry and government representatives. “Ukraine’s experience on the battlefield has shown what's possible when innovation meets necessity,” Ambassador Myroshnychenko said. “The technologies tested and deployed in Ukraine, including systems like the BluSDR, are redefining modern warfare.” The BluSDR-6 is a mesh MANET radio that enables drones and ground systems to stay connected even when jammed or out of line-of-sight. “This technology has been battle-proven in the toughest electronic warfare conditions on earth,” said Codan Limited CEO, Alfonzo Ianniello. “By bringing production of the BluSDR-6 model to our advanced engineering and manufacturing hub in South Australia, we are strengthening Australia’s sovereign capability while de-risking its global supply chain and meeting surging international demand.” Australian company SYPAQ Systems has selected the BluSDR-6 and Codan’s Sentry 6161 radio for delivery to the ADF under the Land 129 project. Amanda Holt, Managing Director of SYPAQ Systems, said: “These locally produced radios give Australia a guaranteed, sovereign source of world-leading mesh MANET communications. They strengthen national resilience while accelerating the ADF’s transition to unmanned systems.” #MiLCIS2025
