Our Associate Director of Creators & Casting, Jae Siqueiros, gives us his best tips & tricks for getting unstuck—by stepping outside: 1) Creativity Doesn’t Always Happen at a Desk: Some of my best ideas don’t show up in brainstorms or meetings. They happen halfway through a hike, during a quick fishing trip, or while watching the sky change colors at sunset. Over time, I’ve learned that creativity doesn’t always thrive in structured spaces. It needs movement, air, and a little bit of quiet. 2) Movement Breaks Mental Gridlock: When we move, our brains do too. Walking, hiking, or even pacing gives your mind a rhythm that loosens rigid thought patterns and makes space for new ones. I’ve solved more creative roadblocks mid-walk than mid-Zoom. 3) Fresh Air Resets Perspective: Stepping outside your normal environment changes the way you see things. A shift in scenery resets your mental lens. Suddenly, ideas you’ve been staring at for days feel lighter, more flexible, more possible. 4) Disconnection Reconnects You: When you unplug, you start noticing things again. Textures, sounds, colors, emotions. Those sensory details fuel creativity because they bring you back into the present moment, where imagination actually lives. 5) Take It Outside: The next time you feel stuck—whether you’re designing a campaign, drafting a proposal, or chasing that spark—try stepping away from your screen. Sometimes, creativity thrives where the Wi-Fi is weakest. #thoughtleadership #creativity #inspiration
