This investment comes after a previous participation in Crusoe’s $350 million Series C round in 2022 by Mubadala. Crusoe, launched in 2018, has quickly emerged as a worldwide leader in AI factories, marrying energy-optimized data centers with high-performance AI cloud services and vertically integrated infrastructure. The Crusoe Cloud platform allows AI builders to devote themselves to building with innovation, without the burden of operational hurdles, offering 99.98% uptime and enterprise-grade support. New participants in the investment round include NVIDIA, Supermicro, Salesforce Ventures, Fidelity, Franklin Templeton, Tiger Global, and T. Rowe Price, who will help facilitate Crusoe’s global growth initiatives, including its first 1.2-gigawatt data center, located in Abilene, Texas, on which construction is already underway in partnership with OpenAI and which has begun the first phase of operations. Crusoe CEO,Chase Lochmiller mentioned that progress driven by AI depends on both energy and compute, and Crusoe’s fully integrated model is designed to “activate energy for intelligence,” creating the potential to accelerate scientific advancement and economic productivity. This round also positions Crusoe as a critical enabler to the next wave of AI innovation, bridging infrastructure and intelligence at scale. Good morning from sunny Silicon Valley! A majority of U.S. startup funding now goes into AI - we’ve known this. But, what’s really interesting is where these early-stage investors are putting their money. New Crunchbase data shows four current standout areas: ▪️ Back-office automation ▪️ Robotics ▪️ Healthcare AI ▪️ Drug development + biotech Instead of chasing broad, general-purpose models, the newest wave of startups is laser-focused on industry-specific intelligence. Think AI that files your compliance reports, builds your prototypes, or runs your lab simulations while you sleep. In just a few short days, TEDAI San Francisco will dive into exactly how AI is moving from hype to hands-on utility. From automated data infrastructure to intelligent workflow design, the goal isn’t just smarter software, but smarter systems entirely. The next era of AI innovation won’t be about replacing human work. It’ll be about amplifying it with faster decisions, cleaner data, and more time spent on what actually matters. #mergersandacquisitions #siliconvalley #ai #artificialintelligence #techlaw #innovation #venturecapital #startups #foleyforward #garage2global Foley & Lardner LLP

Between hyperscalers and AI startups sits a massive gap: small/midsize data center operators with hundreds or a few thousand GPUs who run profitable workloads but can’t easily raise capital. Those operators will power much of the next decade’s AI growth. Our focus is on financing those players efficiently with zero upfront costs. If that's you, get in touch: https://lnkd.in/gwKPi8cv

375ai raises $10M Seed to advance AI-powered edge data intelligence 375ai, a leading AI edge data intelligence company, has raised $10M in Seed funding to help cities, enterprises, and governments turn real-world data into actionable intelligence. The round was led by Delphi Ventures, with participation from Strobe Ventures, Hack VC, 6MV, ARCA, Primal, and EV3. Founded in 2022, 375ai deploys AI-powered edge devices that process raw data locally, compressing 1TB into just 35MB of insights daily. This enables real-time intelligence for applications in mobility, logistics, and public safety, helping businesses and governments improve efficiency and decision-making. 375ai’s platform is already monitoring 1.5 million vehicles daily in Los Angeles, with plans for expansion to New York, Miami, and global markets by 2026. Why it matters: 375ai is creating the AI infrastructure needed to drive smarter cities and safer streets, empowering enterprises to make data-driven decisions in real-time with secure, localized processing. 🤖🌍 Cyberwave Raises €7M to Bridge AI and the Physical World ⚙️💡 European startup Cyberwave has raised €7 million in a round led by United Ventures with participation from The Techshop, Vento (Exor), and Pi Campus, aiming to connect AI agents with real-world machines through its new digital twins platform. 🔎 Why it matters: Deploying AI into manufacturing, logistics, and inspection remains slow due to fragmented hardware systems and complex integrations. Cyberwave’s platform abstracts physical machines into programmable digital twins, letting developers simulate and control robotics with just a few lines of code, a leap toward making automation as flexible as software. 📢 The bigger picture: Co-founders Simone Di Somma and Vittorio Banfi envision Cyberwave as the “system of actions” for the physical world, the infrastructure where machines become as programmable and composable as apps. With Europe facing labor shortages and rising demand for reindustrialization, this developer-first approach could accelerate intelligent automation across factories, logistics hubs, and even defense production. #AI #Automation #Robotics #DigitalTwins #Cyberwave #Manufacturing #Industry40 #Startups #Innovation #SmartFactories #UnitedVentures https://lnkd.in/dswPzSeB
