In this work, we propose a semi-supervised machine learning approach using Fiber Bragg Grating (FBG) sensors to enhance elevator safety by accurately classifying elevator functions and detecting uneven rope tension — a critical safety hazard often overlooked.
This paper represents a significant step toward intelligent elevator condition monitoring with reduced data labeling effort, combining cutting-edge sensor technology and practical ML applications.
