Thank you to Megan Morrone at Axios for spotlighting Continua as a company that is pioneering Social AI, bringing socially intelligent AI agents to the group chat. OpenAI’s interest in this area validates the general direction, but it is a small piece of the larger picture of what it means for AI to work harmoniously within groups. We meet consumers where they already are - iMessage, Google Messages, Discord, and more. We’ve worked purposefully to give our product the best social etiquette, prioritizing human-to-human connection and nurturing relationships that exist in real life. That is very hard to get right or replicate. We do that by having an AI agent that moves conversations toward meaningful, human-centered moments, and simplifying things that are usually a hassle or easy to forget over time. Our technology makes relationships more human, not less. Continua is not trying to capture your attention, but rather foster community. The goal of Continua’s agent is not for you to spend more time on your phone, but instead to pick it up, make a plan, and touch grass. Continua believes Social AI is a fundamental component of AGI that has largely been ignored by the research to date, and represents one of the biggest remaining challenges in our shared quest for AGI. https://lnkd.in/gNayDri5
