Growing up, I was always interested in personal finances and the stock market. I knew I wanted to get into the financial world. Working in this industry today is that dream fulfilled. I've had leaders at CIBC who advocated for my growth. It's so important to have people invest in your development. I'm also always looking for ways to challenge myself and build skills. I'm currently pursuing my Chartered Investment Management designation. I've also benefited from the modules through Percipio, a learning platform with thousands of courses, and other CIBC resources. For those starting out in this career, my advice is to be optimistic. It's contagious when you're working with partners and clients. Whenever someone offers you an opportunity, take it. You'll figure things out along the way. I'm always learning and re-learning; that's normal. Making a difference lights a fire inside of me.
