AI can’t replicate your brand’s purpose—or your personality. At Money20/20, Chime CMO Vineet Mehra shared how AI is reshaping marketing—and why brand is the ultimate differentiator. “In a world where most of us have access to the same foundational AI tools, the real differentiator is brand. Ironically, the more tech we have, the more important brand and creativity become. AI can handle the repetitive work, but it can’t replace human purpose.” His team’s solution? A custom-trained brand GPT—a dataset built from a decade of Chime’s greatest hits: visuals, stories, and community moments. It helps internal teams generate content that still feels like Chime: approachable, friendly, and real.

So true Vineet Mehra. It is important not to lose sight of the ultimate goal of building strong brands. Most of the tech being used today is focused on the "how" vs. the "what" and "why". And even within the "how" the focus is on efficiency and not effectiveness
