What is the state of RTO for the biggest companies in the US? Here's a snapshot of the data today... WORKPLACE POLICY 285 of the Fortune 500 have publicly shared a workplace policy. 👉 84% operate on a hybrid work schedule 👉 11% are office first 👉 5% are remote first OFFICE VISIT EXPECTATIONS 176 of the Fortune 500 have publicly shared how often employees are expected to be in the office. 👉 22% do not require any days in the office 👉 41% require 3 days/week in the office 👉 14% require 5 days/week in the office 👉 24% require a hybrid policy other than 3 days (ie. 1, 2, or 4 days, or 1 week/month, 1 week/quarter, etc.). OFFICE SPACE 👉 56% of the Fortune 100 have reduced their office space footprint since 2020 WHAT IS CHANGING? Since November 2024, in-office policies have grown at the expense of hybrid. 🔽 Hybrid companies declined from 246 to 241 🔼 Office-first companies increased from 22 to 29 🔽 Companies requiring 3 days/week in the office decreased from 74 to 72 🔼 Companies requiring 5 days/week in the office increased from 16 to 23 👇 Full dataset links are in the comments.
