This morning, International Airlines Group (IAG) announced its Q3 2025 financial results. At British Airways, we delivered an operating profit of £812m at an operating margin of 20.2%, flying 1.7% more than 2024 levels, demonstrating another robust quarter of both operational and financial performance.* This summer we delivered our best Q3 punctuality performance across our network since Q3 2017, despite external challenges outside of our control. Investing in new technology for our operation has been part of our £7bn transformation programme and has helped deliver these strong results as we continue to build a better BA. Thanks to the dedication of our teams and the continued momentum of our transformation programme, and the 11.1m mainline customers we’ve flown so far this year have experienced significant improvements in operational performance and resilience. This, along with our investment in the customer experience, is driving an uplift in customer satisfaction. As we look ahead to winter season, we remain focused on delivering a stable, efficient operation and continuing to invest in our people and our customers. #BritishAirways #FinancialResults *All financials have been restated to exclude BA Holidays
Great results. Now focus on loyal customer care. You are really alienating your current G and GGL customers.
Is 75% on time departure something to shout about? 1 in 4 planes leave late and arrive late, and the 3 out of 4 planes that actually started their journey on time spend hours stacking in the sky and arrive late. Just this week, my flight back from Geneva was delayed for longer than the actual time of the flight so we departed after we were supposed to have arrived - where's the concept of 'delay repay'? Even the train operators recognize the financial impact of their poor performance............If BA compensated customers financially (not just token points offers), then the profit number would be more believable
Pretty good operating margin. 20.2% is higher than most airlines. Did I read that Ryanair - Europe's Favourite Airline had a higher Q3 operating margin?
Who would have thought service and product could be so profitable and that cheap, cheap isn’t the only path to success. I took four BA Club flights last month - all perfect - and mostly down to the most professional of proud crews
Congratulations British Airways. Please could you invest some of these profits into your app that as a BA gold member hasn't let me sign in for over 3 weeks!
A wonderful result. Well done to all involved. P.s., your new lounges are amazing - the Concorde room in duba 😧
Congratulations, British Airways, on achieving such impressive results and punctuality! It's inspiring to see how your commitment to innovation and team dedication is elevating the customer experience. Excited to witness your continued success!
I trust the excellent BA staff will receive a decent pay rise and bonus?

1w£812 million profit. Guess that justifies a packet of 2 biscuits and a mini bottle of water for Economy passengers squashed into tight rows on a 4 hour flight. Memories of a full breakfast on Shuttle flights; ah well, guess the profits reflected that too. Would be nice if service standards were improved though.
