It's fun to look back and see that I was one of the very first families that Better Together was ever able to help. They've then my mom and my dad and my brother and my sister and my aunt and my uncle and my grandparents all in one organization. And now I'm all over the country helping other families. I was able to connect a young woman where I live now to a better job, and she was able to work herself out of homelessness. We all go through things in life and I'm very confident that I've gone through what I've gone through so that I can be a voice for other people. And there's a reason why I was one of the first people to be helped by Better Together, because I am a test of it to what it is. We're not an organization here that's interested in taking away children. We are interested in keeping us together, and not just one family, but all the families together because there's power in numbers and there's power in community. And through Better Together we are able to use that and help us all.
