At #HLTHUSA 2025, Kaiser Permanente Chair and CEO Greg Adams and Risant Health CEO Dr. Jaewon Ryu reminded the industry why Kaiser Permanente launched Risant Health in 2023 — to extend our distinct value-based care model and health outcomes to multi-provider, multi-payer environments. The session, Promise to Progress, featured Dr. Benjamin Hohmuth MD MPH (CMIO, Geisinger) sharing the real-world results behind the value-based platform, which is rolling out at Geisinger with best practices, evidence-based approaches, and physician tools. Geisinger has already seen a 40% decrease in primary care burnout, 1 hour administrative time saved daily for physicians, and nearly 10,000 specialty appointments freed up for patients. This isn’t just innovation — it’s transformation. And it’s powered by shared commitments across our organizations toward making health care better through value-based care. Her discussion on the transformative power of AI in healthcare highlighted how accessibility and innovation are reshaping decision-making and outcomes for patients. It’s inspiring to see how CGI is pushing the boundaries of AI to drive meaningful, measurable change. As she emphasized, it’s not just about better forecasting, it’s about turning data into actionable insights that build trust, mitigate risk, and advance sustainability. I especially loved her analogy that clean data is as vital as clean water, a powerful reminder that integrity is the foundation of intelligent innovation.
