“If you’re not using AI to learn, you’re already behind.”
Siham Darr gave some of the most grounded advice we heard at KubeCon:
➡️ Use AI to accelerate your learning
➡️ Use it to find resources, not shortcuts
➡️ Don’t copy blindly — understand the code
➡️ AI won’t replace you… but ignoring it will hold you back
“AI is the best way to learn. It helps you scale.”
Do you have any advice for like, you know, engineers coming up, like junior engineers, people just getting started? Like do you have any advice on the tools that you use or how they should use them? I've used AI to understand coordinates, to find resources. Like I go into like Microsoft profile or something and I'll be like, hey, find me YouTube videos, I'll uncover Nettis. I suggest that for, you know, like younger developers also suggest like don't just put anything. Don't just copy and paste. You've got to actually understand the code and look at it, understand it. And you know, take your time with it and learn from it. AI is probably the best way to learn stuff nowadays and without without it, you know, like you're gonna fall behind on it's just not going to replace you. Is there to help you do use it properly, then you'll be able to, you know, like overcome like a lot of. Will be more like scalable in your job.
