We’re taking our first steps toward the Moon! 🌖 We are proud to announce our first lunar surface mission: LUVMI Mission 1, scheduled for Q3 2028, targeting the Shackleton Crater at the Moon’s south pole. We will deliver customer payloads using our LUVMI-M rover, a 20 kg-capacity platform designed for mobility and operations in the challenging lunar polar environment. With mission planning underway, we are inviting organizations to secure payload slots on this mission, with our engineering and integration teams providing full support for payload development and qualification. We started the Starburst mission as a de-risking demonstration on the path to our flagship Supernova vehicle, but we soon felt the strong customer pull for an ESPA class vehicle with -1 km/s delta-v -Ability to operate in the radiation environments of LEO, MEO, or GEO, -RPO capability And since Starburst originated as a path to Supernova, it shares a common supply chain allowing us to scale both platforms in parallel. Launching in Oct 2026, Starburst-1 will demonstrate a highly maneuverable system in an easily proliferated ESPA launch volume. It gives customers what they need now, while de-risking what they need next.

This post is interesting. There are several misunderstandings about how turbojet engines, scramjet engines and rocket engines work. Rocket engines carry both fuel and oxidation. This makes rockets useful in space where there is no air but the extra weight of the oxygen and the cost to get the oxidizer makes rockets generally unused outside of spaceflight. Turbojet are the most common engine used. They breath air by using a turbine. This means they can grab the air around them. Turbojets are useless in space and higher atmosphere, since there is not enough air. Scramjets work on the idea that the turbine is useless at high speeds. In removing the turbine, scramjets need a starting speed to work. Usually a drone or missile with scramjet is dropped from a jet moving fast already. Likely this post is confusing the x-15 which was a rocket plane that holds the current record for the fastest moving men. But regardless there is enough mix ups in the post to point to this being fiction.
