As Belém hosts #COP30, the city continues to harmonize urbanization with the protection of its residents and natural environment. 🌱 Partnering with local authorities, Arcadis developed an urban wetland solution in Parque da Cidade—a COP30 legacy—that treats up to 118 cubic meters of sewage daily. The project delivers 260,000 square meters of new green spaces for the community, reintroduces over 2,500 native trees, and creates self-sustaining rainwater harvesting and sewage treatment systems. This is the result of a city investing in nature-based solutions that support both progress and people.
