Today marks a significant milestone as we open our AI-powered Cropwise platform to developers worldwide. This initiative addresses the growing technology gap between large and small farms, revealed by our recent Ipsos research (link to the full research report in the comments 👇).   Currently supporting over 70 million hectares across 30+ countries, Cropwise will now enable third-party developers to integrate advanced agronomic models into new applications. What makes me really happy about this news is that now digital can reach small growers – the ones who face the most challenges, both money and technology. The report from Ipsos shows the gap between big and small farms is still growing. That’s why this step matters so much. From now, with AI-powered Cropwise, small growers can use the same tools as big farms. This means a lot for AMEA region, where almost 90% growers are smallholders. Syngenta has opened its AI-driven Cropwise platform to developers worldwide, enabling them to build digital agriculture tools on an ecosystem already spanning more than 70 million hectares. The move aims to close the technology access gap by making advanced agronomic models, data infrastructure, and digital capabilities available to innovators and farmers of all scales. Experience has shown that even incremental improvements in data quality can yield measurable advances in crop health, resource management, and environmental outcomes. This is the foundation of Proveye’s work: leveraging research and technology to deliver data-driven solutions across the agricultural supply chain. The aim is practical and direct—equip land managers and decision-makers with robust tools that improve productivity and sustainability.
