Today, three of our 2026 Boarder Prefects took part in the Australian Boarding Schools Association’s Boarder Leadership Conference, in collaboration with Burn Bright Australia. The day explored practical and personal dimensions of leadership through three focused sessions: 🔹 Your Story in Four Parts – examining identity from multiple perspectives: the story we tell others, the story we tell ourselves, the story others see, and the story yet to be written. 🔹 Small Actions, Big Influence – highlighting how consistent, everyday choices can create meaningful leadership impact. 🔹 Showing Up – turning reflection into action and committing to lead with intention and purpose. The art of being able to listen, attentively, with thought and care is a skill set that might be the most important for leaders across industries and organizations. In schools, leaders have a tremendous responsibility to lead with courage and being able to listen and build strong, healthy, highly functional teams is the first step to doing that.
