Global supply networks are powerful, but they’re also fragile. That’s why we’ve built a supply model at Veeline that’s global in perspective but local in agility. Local sourcing, multi-vendor backups, and flexible warehousing give us speed when it matters most. Because in a post-pandemic world, supply chains aren’t just about distance, they’re about resilience through proximity. Global ambition thrives best on local strength.

Last week, our annual report launch grabbed headlines. But just as importantly, we also released our supply chain due diligence report. The report offers a detailed look at how we identify and address risks related to human rights, environmental impact, and product safety in our direct and near direct supply chain. Felicity Tapsell, Head of Responsible Sourcing, puts it clearly: “Our greatest human rights and environmental risks lie within our supply chain. We have robust systems and qualified people working together with suppliers, industry partners, and other stakeholders to address challenges both at factory level and across the wider industry. This report provides transparency into our processes and progress." Our approach to due diligence follows guidance from international bodies like the OECD and the United Nations. This is our second supply chain due diligence report, and the launch marks another step in our journey to be more transparent about our supply chain operations – and we’re constantly striving to become better. Supply chain disruption prevents goods from moving from A to B. But at DP World, we know the impact goes far beyond that. Without logistics, everything from contracts and customer relationships to a company’s ability to stay competitive would be affected. Yet supply chains everywhere are facing increasing pressure – not least in Asia Pacific, where we see the impact of rising tariffs, fragmenting global value chains and growing uncertainty being felt sharply. So what can businesses do to ensure they have the edge? Our new research delves into this question, revealing that companies that treat logistics as a strategic priority recover faster from disruption, reduce risk and drive stronger performance. In the coming months, we will release insights on how to build smarter, faster and more resilient supply chains from across the industries we work in. DP World’s Stephen Whittingham shares his latest insights, which captures a major shift: ports are no longer just gateways — they’re becoming strategic platforms where speed, resilience, and sustainability converge. #Retailers who rethink the flow “from quay to customer” will gain a real competitive edge — optimising not only cost and time, but also carbon and certainty. As automation, multimodal connectivity, and near-port distribution redefine supply chains, the question for retail leaders is no longer whether to transform — but how fast. 👉 A great read on how logistics is evolving from a back-office function to a board-level strategy.
As global trade intensifies, the pressure on our ports continues to mount. But our end-to-end network provides us with the flexibility and resourcefulness to ease that burden.
