#Kismayo, Somalia : We officially kicked off the induction of #Protect-S, funded by ADRA Netherlands - Eijkelenboom Kinderfonds and supported by #EOMetterDAAD. The project aims to promote rights and empower communities to tackle school-related gender-based violence (SRGBV) ensuring that children, especially girls, can learn in safe and supportive environments. The induction brought together key education stakeholders, community leaders, teachers, and youth representatives to discuss the realities of SRGBV in schools and the shared responsibility of ending it. Through #Protect-S, as ADRA Somali we will engage schools and communities in awareness creation, teacher capacity building, and advocacy to strengthen child protection systems. We believe #Protect-S will represents a vital step toward building inclusive, gender-responsive schools in Somalia.
