Chief Medical Officer at Baylor Genetics | Pediatrician | Clinical Geneticist | Advancing Precision Diagnostics in Rare Disease

As a physician, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside patients whose health journeys are shaped by both uncertainty and hope. That’s why I’m especially proud of Baylor Genetics’ collaboration with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, bringing pharmacogenomic and hereditary genetic testing to veterans across the VA healthcare system.   Every test tells a story. It’s a veteran searching for the right medication, a family looking for answers, or a clinician seeking clarity in a complex case. This partnership is about turning uncertainty into guidance, and delivering care that is precise, informed, and compassionate.   PGx testing gives us insight into how an individual’s genes influence their response to medications. For veterans living with PTSD, chronic pain, depression, or other health challenges, this can mean fewer setbacks and a quicker path to feeling better. Hereditary cancer testing is equally powerful, identifying risk before symptoms appear and opening the door to earlier, proactive care.   Every veteran deserves the very best that science and medicine can offer. I’m honored that Baylor Genetics can support those who have given so much, ensuring their care is both data-driven and deeply personal.   https://lnkd.in/etnHSn_A #PGx #Germline #Veterans
