Introducing Banksia Minerals Processing, the first of six incredible start ups selected to present at the sixth annual Innovation Bay x Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA) Renewables Startup Showcase 👏🤩🚀 Founded in August 2024 by former Rio Tinto executive Leigh Staines, Banksia is commercialising IndooCu, a breakthrough copper-production technology from the University of Queensland’s Hydrometallurgy Lab. Developed by Professor James Vaughan, the system enables smooth copper electrowinning from a chloride leach, overcoming a decades-long industry challenge. The process allows full copper recovery from complex ores, avoids harmful smelting emissions, and supports low-energy, decarbonised production. Banksia is advancing plans for a pilot demonstration in 2026 with industry partners to validate the technology for commercial deployment by 2030. Join us at the showcase on Tuesday 25 November in Melbourne to hear from Banksia and 5 other groundbreaking innovators that are shaping the future of clean energy, solar and beyond. Tickets are selling fast 🏃♂️➡️ Secure yours now so you don't miss out 👉🏼 https://lnkd.in/gPJjbkmV Details: 🗓️ When: Tuesday, 25 November 2025, 5:00 PM 📍 Where: Sanders Place, Richmond VIC 🎟️ Tickets: Available now 👉🏼 https://lnkd.in/gPJjbkmV

EnergyPathways kicks off synthetic graphite venture with Hazer Group, shares rise: EnergyPathways PLC (AIM:EPP) told investors it has started techno-commercial studies with Hazer Group for the production of high-grade synthetic graphite at its planned MESH facility in Barrow-in-Furness. The facility will produce battery-grade graphite as a by-product of low-carbon hydrogen production using Hazer’s methane pyrolysis technology. "EnergyPathways, with its flagship MESH project, continues to be a leading innovator in the UK's energy transition and in offering affordable low-carbon energy solutions," said CEO Ben Clube. "This positions MESH as a potential major producer and supplier of high-quality and battery-grade graphite that can meet the UK's growing demand for this critical mineral in energy transition." Glenn Corrie, Hazer chief executive, described it as a landmark opportunity to develop one of the UK's largest integrated clean energy hubs. Under a July 2025 agreement, EnergyPathways holds exclusive rights to use Hazer’s technology in the... http://dlvr.it/TNqBFR

How Much Money Is Flowing Into Green Molecules? (Global Snapshot 2025) If you think the green molecules story is hype, follow the money Across clean hydrogen, ammonia, methanol and SAF/eSAF, the financing flywheel has clearly started turning-first movers have reached FID, new tenders are awarding capacity, and bilateral deals are stacking up 1 Green Hydrogen (H₂)-from pilots to committed capital Committed (FID/under construction): $110B across 500+mature projects 2024–25 capex actually being spent: $4.3B in 2024, trending to $8B in 2025 as recent FIDs convert into construction Pipeline: 1,700 projects announced since 2020, with 200 now at committed stage Electrolyser orders, renewable PPAs and CCUS hubs are now bankable in several regions, setting the feedstock base for green ammonia and e-fuels 2 Green Ammonia-fastest moving offtake story Among the fastest-growing clean-industry segments: 28 plants at FID and 340+ announced worldwide. Flagship FIDs: Multi-billion dollar complexes (e.g., CF Industries–JERA–Mitsui $4B blue-to-clean ammonia in Louisiana), plus large India, Middle East and Australia projects 3 Green Methanol-shipping is pulling demand Pipeline: 250 low-carbon methanol projects tracked; 42.5 Mt/yr potential capacity by 2030 (announced) Capital signals: Developers like C2X secured new equity (e.g., $100M from ENEOS, A.P. Moller Holding, Maersk) to push mega-plants to FID; Nordic e-fuel developers continue to win grants and advance FEED. Real market: Maersk’s growing methanol fleet is triggering supply contracts and port bunkering plans. 4 SAF/eSAF-mandates are unlocking projects Production outlook: SAF expected to double to 2 Mt in 2025 (still<1% of jet fuel) Investment need to 2030: $19–45B capex Projects & funding: Dozens of plants at various stages; national programs (EU ReFuelEU, UK, US) and airline offtakes moving projects to FID; several $0.5–$1B refinery-scale conversions announced. Committed (FID/under construction) clean hydrogen (incl. derivatives): $110B today and rising as ammonia/SAF/methanol plants linked to those H₂ hubs reach FID. Announced pipelines: Many hundreds of billions more in proposed capex across H₂, NH₃, MeOH and SAF through 2030-subject to offtake, policy support, grid/CO₂ access and financing. Bilateral & public funding: Multi-billion credit lines, grants and guarantees (EU, US, Japan, India, Australia, Middle East) are crowding-in private capital; national and port-level tenders are emerging What should investors & policymakers watch? Bankable offtake (fertilizer, shipping fuel, aviation mandates) Hubs integrating renewables, CO₂, water, storage and export terminals Certification & tracking to unlock green premiums and cross-border trade Localization (India, MENA, US, Nordics) where cost stack and policy align The money is moving from slide decks to steel. Green H₂ and ammonia are closest to large-scale FIDs; e-methanol is shipping-led; SAF/eSAF is mandate-led #sanjeevsharmagh2
