Day 3 of AEM Workfront Series – Turning Chaos into Clarity with Dashboards & Visibility By Day 3, our team had the basics locked in ✅ Intake process was structured. ✅ Workfront and AEM were finally talking to each other. But there was still one big issue… no one could see the full picture. We had all the data, but no visibility. Marketing wanted to see progress. Developers wanted to know what’s next. Leads wanted to check campaign health — without endless meetings. That’s when we realized something simple but powerful: 👉 It’s not enough to collect data — you have to make it visible and meaningful. 📊 The Problem: Information Everywhere, Insights Nowhere Each team was tracking their own progress in isolation: Marketing had spreadsheets for approvals. Dev teams used Workfront tasks and JIRA tickets. Leadership got updates in weekly calls. So while the work was happening, nobody shared a single source of truth. Teams worked hard but not on the right things. 🎯 The Hidden Culprit: Poor Intake and Prioritization In AEM Workfront, everything starts with request intake. When projects skip structured intake, chaos sneaks in duplicated work, missed deadlines, and unclear ownership. Each request needs: Clear objective (why it matters) Defined priority (how soon it matters) Assigned owner (who makes it happen) * How We Fixed It ✅ Created custom request forms with mandatory fields ✅ Built automated routing to assign the right team ✅ Linked AEM project dashboards for visibility ✅ Used Workfront reports for status tracking and approvals * Lesson Learned Good delivery starts with good intake.
