- [Instructor] So far, I've walked you through setting up your website, extracting styles from a Figma file and creating patterns. Now we are ready to create the homepage. The homepage of a website is in my opinion, the most important part of your site. It is the first page that visitors will see, and it can make or break the experience for them. First, make sure you save your sidebar template pattern and navigate to your dashboard. Hover over New and select Page. Where it says ADD TITLE, type HOME. In the Page toolbar, select Pages, and then Swap template. Choose the header, footer, and sidebar template that we created. Publish your homepage. Before we continue building out your homepage, let's make two little housekeeping changes. Navigate back to your dashboard. Go down and hover over Settings. Select Reading. Under your homepage displays, you should have your latest posts selected. Change this to A static page. For homepage, we're going to select Home. Go to the bottom and save…
