What makes a good plugin
- [Instructor] There are a few criteria that I use to determine a good plugin from a not so good one. Like I said before, you want to make sure that the plugin is available through the WordPress Directory or sold directly by its creator. Resold plugins can sometimes be unreliable or sometimes even dangerous. Once you find yourself at the plugin details page, you want to qualify it the same way you might with anything else you buy. Does it have good reviews? If it has bad reviews, are those problems deal breakers for you? Does it provide active support in case you run into an issue? Does it provide clear and helpful instructions and documentation to help you start using the plugin? Has it been updated somewhat recently? This is important because new versions of WordPress come out a few times a year, so if a plugin hasn't been updated in years, it means that it will be incompatible or might have security problems that…
