How to safely update and maintain plugins

- [Narrator] Once a plugin is installed and activated, it's on your site until you remove it. In the meantime, the developer or the company who created the plugin might release updated versions of that plugin with maybe more features, fixes to bugs or security patches. When this happens, a new version of the plug-in will be available for you to grab. You'll know you have plug-ins that can be updated when you find a number beside your plug-ins menu. Plug-ins with updates will be highlighted as such. It's a good idea to always take backup of your website before you choose update now. To update, go through one at a time and choose update now for every plug-in that has an update available. Don't close the window or click away until the plug-in is successfully updated with this little check mark.
