- [Instructor] When you turn on a Windows computer, you start here at the sign-in screen. Click on this screen and then you'll need to type in your password or your pin code to sign into your user account. Your user account is where all of your files and configurations are stored. But if you share a computer with another person, you might want to set up multiple user accounts. To do that, we'll need to go into Windows settings. So in the start menu, I'll open Settings. On the left, choose the category for Accounts. And here we see some information about my user account, including one important detail, my account is identified as an administrator. There are two types of users, administrators and standard users. There are several system settings that only administrators are allowed to control.
