Give behind-the-scenes access to your professional life

- Let's talk about behind-the-scenes content. Behind-the-scenes posts help other people learn and make your content feel more human and relatable. They're gonna give people a glimpse into your professional spaces that they might not otherwise have access to. Think about conferences, off-sites, a team milestone, or even a day-in-the-life video, those are always good. But here's the key with those. It's not just about saying, "What's up? I'm at LinkedIn Learning," and snapping a quick photo like this and then posting it. 'Cause that doesn't really offer any value to your audience. Instead, share your top takeaway or an insight from a speaker that you really loved at a conference or something surprising that you learned. I wanna compare two examples now. Post A here that you see is not much more than a status update. And if you don't already know of Maria Wilson or the Red30 Tech Conference, I'm not sure why this would be as valuable to you. But let's look at post B, which is from Alisa Cohn at Davos. Let's watch, it's a video post. - I just got out of a closed door dinner here in Davos with 15 C-suite executives from the largest companies in the world. And the conversation was so inspiring, it was about leadership and AI. So I wanted to share some insights I took away. The first is, adopt AI now, don't wait. Don't wait for it to get perfect, don't wait for it to go away, it is not going away, adopt it now, otherwise, you're already late to the party. - So she goes on to share some more interesting takeaways from the dinner. But the bottom line here is that it was providing something useful to the audience even if they weren't at that dinner. Behind-the-scenes posts aren't really about just proving you were somewhere, they're all about pulling back the curtain so that others can learn from your experiences too. And if you want a little curtain pull back on what it's like to be a LinkedIn Learning author, I've gone ahead and cut together a day-in-the-life video from this experience for you all to watch. And by the time this course launches, you can find it on my profile.
