Element 4: Invite your audience into the conversation

- Great posts are ultimately meant to start a conversation, but to do that, you need to actually invite your audience in to engage in that conversation with you. A few tips on how to do that successfully. If you're mentioning a person or a company as a part of your authentic story that you're sharing, you can go ahead and tag them in your post. Just a word of caution here. Don't tag a person or a company just to get their attention, especially if you don't know them. We see that sometimes. Tags are really meant to connect to your community and the people and companies that are core to your message to them. They're not really meant to be used as a growth hack. Ooh, also, a quick note on hashtags. They can help members discover content related to your post topic, or they're also really good for collections of posts and tracking those campaigns, but you don't need to use a hashtag for your post to be successful. I think that's a common misconception. If you do use them, just aim for no more than three and keep them at the end of your post versus woven throughout. The last key piece, and this one's super important, make sure you're ending your post with a clear call to action. It could be a question. Maybe you're sharing a prompt with your audience or inviting them to engage with your perspective in the comments. It's just a little bit scary for some people to engage directly by writing a comment, so when you invite them in, they're gonna feel much more welcome to do that. If you keep these building blocks in mind. Those were a strong hook, delivering value, eye-catching visuals, and inviting your audience in to engage. You'll be creating incredible content for this platform, and it's going to drive real conversations.
