- [Rick] In this video, we will take a look at the licensing model for vSphere 8 and compare it to the licensing model of vSphere 7. And for a reference, we're going to use the vSphere and vSphere + Compute Virtualization licensing, pricing and packaging document. And so this document is specific to vSphere 8. We can still choose from vSphere Standard and vSphere Enterprise Plus. VSphere Enterprise Plus is going to come at a higher cost, but is going to include many features that vSphere Standard does not. And in this document, you can get a complete breakdown of all of the features of vSphere Standard versus vSphere Enterprise Plus. There are limitations for things like fault tolerance and there are features like VM encryption and the vSphere Distributed Switch and Auto Deploy and DRS. These are things that are only going to be available in the Enterprise Plus licensing edition of vSphere. So there are major differences…
