Requirements for using VMware Workstation or Fusion

- So let's discuss what is needed to run either VMware fusion or workstation. VMware fusion requirements first. It needs Apple MacOS 10.5 or later. It needs eight gigabytes of RAM where 16 gigabytes is really recommended. But all of that depends on the number of virtual machines that you want to run. It works on either Intel or ARM CPU, and you need four gigabytes on disk for the base software installation, and at least 10 gigabytes of disk space for each virtual machine. Obviously, that also depends on what exactly you want to do in the virtual machine. Then let's talk about the VMware workstation requirements. First, you need a 64 bit x86 or AMD CPU that was launched in 2011 or later, so that's quite flexible. This CPU needs to be at a 1.3 gigahertz CPU speed, and you need at least two gigabytes of RAM where four gigabytes is recommended. And if you want to run a lot of virtual machines at the same time, you obviously need much more. For the base software installation, four…
