- One of the nuts and bolts aspects of virtual production is performance. Now, what are we talking about when we say performance? I'm not talking about actor performance now. When we say performance in this context what I'm talking about is how efficiently Unreal Engine can render the 3D scene we want to display on our LED volume, that kind of performance. So since everything is in-camera we need that performance to meet or exceed the camera's frame rate. If it doesn't, the computer drops frames which of course looks unacceptable on the camera. Now, I'm hoping by the time you watch this performance concerns don't exist anymore with real-time animation. If so, wonderful you can just skip this whole video and move right on.
