Planning and creating Syntex sites and SharePoint libraries
- [Instructor] There are a couple of things we need to do before we get down to the hands-on stuff in Syntex. Number one, we need a Syntex site. Now, this is probably a SharePoint admin task. Most organizations don't allow users to create new sites, and for good reason. But for the admin, it's pretty simple. Start from the SharePoint admin page and select Active Sites in the left navigation. On the Active Sites page, click the Create link in the icon bar in the Create Sites dialogue. Scroll down until you see Syntex Content Center and click that. If you don't see this option, Syntex hasn't been enabled, which is something that the SharePoint and 365 admins will need to take care of. If you have Syntex available, the next page of the dialogue opens. The content center is selected as the site type, and that's good. We need to give the site a name.
