- [Church] Hi, I'm Church Mastery. Today we're looking at visual data prep which is a new way to work with data smith assets in Unreal. Now visual data prep actually is a great way to work with assets from third party packages such as 3DS Max or Revit or whatever. And a lot of times when you bring in those assets, a lot of things don't come across exactly the way that you want. Visual data prep allows you to do things such as automatic substitutions to automatically translate things much better when you bring them in. So let's take a look at how this works. Now I have a folder in my content folder here called Data Smith. And mine is currently empty. So what we're going to do is create what's called a visual data prep asset. And this is basically your translator. So let's go ahead and right click here and under data prep we'll create a data prep asset. Now if we want to we can rename this. Now I'm going to be working…
