Move from "should" to "could"

- If you are thinking about how to turn this day around, try a mindset switch from Should to Could. It's so easy to fall into the trap of thinking we should do things a certain way just because that's how it's always been. But have a look around, where's the law that tells you it has to be that way? Okay, so sometimes there's a deadline, or a boss who has asked for something, and I get that. But in lots of cases, the Shoulds come from you or from a belief you've picked up from someone else along the way. So let's start there and consider these questions. What are your beliefs about how today should be? Then, consider alternative angles on how it could be. Maybe you really thought you should get that report finished by the end of today, but perhaps it could be better if you let yourself rest overnight and tackle it in the morning. Another example is when you're overwhelmed with lots of meetings in your day. Can you move from a belief based on how you've always done it? "I should set up…
